Impossible to connect to MQTT servers

Thank you for the effort you are spending to  investigate the issue.
I have exactly the same problems when connected via wifi or 3g.
After installing an Android update, version 6.0.26  is more stable. 
Now, it apparently crashes only when, after I manually disconnect the broker,  I manually connect again.

I tried to install version 6.0.26 on my old Samsung S6 running Android 7 and I have a similar behavior.

For the time being I came back to version 6.0.22 that still works quite well.
