Hey guys,
since a couple of hours,my Virtuino pro running on my S10 Samsung phone fails to connect to whatever MQTT broker I try to use, regardless which projects I run.

All the projects connect to the MQTT brokers when opened by Virtuino viewer running on the same phone. The same projects can also be opened without any issue by Virtuino pro on a Windows PC.

The server icon on the top left side of the screen is yellow and if I tap on it I get the message: Server Type Unknown server

is somebody having the same issue? Any suggestion?

Thank you
Hi,
I think this is a very important issue.
On the last update the MQTT library has changed.

Could you send me some information?
1. What is the Android version?
2. Which is the broker. Is local or cloud Broker. I have another user with the same issue for local connection only.
3. Do you use secure connection?

I would like to check this issue using your project because with my brokers I don't have an issue.
I have create a newer version using the MQTT library of the version 6.0.22
Could you check these versions and let me know?

https://virtuino.com/downloads/virtuino_6_0_24_02.apk

The previous version 6.0.22 is available on the web site.

Hello Ilias,
thank you for your very prompt reply.

Android Version is 12
The issue is exactly the same regardless which cloud MQTT broker  I use and if use secure connection or not. I do not have a local broker to test.
Both the beta versions you sent me crashes as soon as I launch them
Version 6.0.22 still works without any issue

The issue is undependent of the script. You can download a very basic one that works with version 6.0.22 but not with the current one at this link

Hi,
this is the worst bug I have ever seen.
It happens on Android 12 and 13 only. It is a bug on the MQTT library that I use.
I have tried to fix it. I think it is ok now.
I have upload the version 6.0.25 on the playstore and Virtuino web site too.

Hi,
thank you. Version 6.0.25 does not solve the problem for me. It connects to the broker but the connection is very unstable and the app crashes very frequently. Still this is idependent of the broker I use or the script.

Hi,
I don't have this issue but  I have made some chances to fix it.

Could you test this version?

Hi,
I tested version 6.0.27. I am sorry but unfortunately I still have problems.
The connection is usually successful but it is very unstable. The app connects and disconnects continuously. In addition very often when I try to connect again the app crashes.
In this case I get a message saying that the app closed due to a bug and I am asked to cancel the cache or to update the app.

Hi,
which is the broker? I want to check it.

Hi,
the broker is broker.hivemq.com but I experience the same malfunctioning with other brokers and regardless the script I run.
Even the very basic script at the link below crashes

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-rRHlqp...sp=sharing

all my scripts that connect to broker.hivemq.com or whatever other one work without issues when I use version 6.0.22.
I am sorry but I don't have any issue with this project.
I have tested on Android 11, 12, 13.

Do you have this issue using the WiFi? or the data connection? or both?
